Detroit to Fort Lauderdale and beyond; 1300+ miles for a glimpse of blue on blue… OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

And when the sun went down…

We rented a house in Fort Lauderdale, and everything around us was lush and green.

Little lizards sunned themselves on the backyard fence…

In a state park nearby, greenery everywhere, mangrove roots at our feet, and a massive banyan–truly, the largest living thing I’ve ever seen.

  1. *bliss* oh, that sky 🙂 Thank you for sharing your trip with us. You know I’m a beach/ocean gal, but that banyan is incredible! Mangroves are fascinating, I used to grow them in the sump of my tank. Those little lizards are very cool. I can’t tell, how large are they?

    • mrs fringe, glad you enjoyed the photos. The mangrove roots were so intricate, and that banyan was truly massive. Just breathtaking.

In contrast, those little reptiles topped in at about three inches. Never trust a photograph. 🙂
